Statement

My work is a reflection of my life and lived experience. I am driven by curiosity, drawn to tactile processes, and rooted in making as a way of understanding the world.

Through years of drawing and making, recurring forms, shapes, and themes have naturally emerged. These are informed by my relationship with the landscape, shaped through gardening, close observation, and getting to know the animals that inhabit it. This ongoing engagement has become a visual language—a personal library of symbols and forms that continues to evolve.

Installation is central to my practice, allowing individual works to come together in conversation with one another. By creating relationships between objects, materials, and space, I invite new meanings and understandings to emerge. My work explores themes of belonging, human experience, emotion, deep connection to nature, and the mystery that exists within both the natural world and ourselves.

Making is an intuitive and reflective process. It allows me to process experience, create space for contemplation, and uncover connections that might otherwise remain unseen. Through this act of making, I seek a deeper sense of knowing—one that is grounded in material, place, and the quiet dialogue between inner and outer worlds.
